Croc 2: Review

Croc_2

Good Stuff

  • In this game Croc is able to bounce from a stomp, this move gives Croc more air time then a regular jump would, unlike the first game
  • The ability to operate vehicles.
  • Completing tasks for inhabitants. This keeps the game from being too linear.
  • A more complex storyline.
  • Using the gems as currency.
  • Talking with inhabitants.
  • The environments was more detailed.
  • Controls are better

Bad Stuff

  • The Danitis minions are ugly, unlike the first game, then looked cute yet mildly threatening.
  • The Gobbos went from being cute little fuzzy things to tailless, hairy little men.
  • Swap Pete is annoying as fuck. He talks too much and his items are too pricy.
  • By the time you get to the Inca hub world you can tell the game was rushed, by the lack of levels in that hub world.

Ah Croc, this game was one of my favorite games and also one of my first games behind Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon.

Croc is a 1990’s videogame 3D platformer, about a crocodile who is raised by little furry things called Gobbos. After Croc grows up and one day Baron Dante and his minions attacked gobbos village and now its up to Croc to save them.

If there ever was a third installment, it should be about Croc always having to save the Gobbos and one day he has had enough and decides to take a siesta. But of course the Dantis take advantage of this and began to raid the village.
Either that or do a remake of Croc1.
